Many people are able to recover from their injury through ample rest, the use of pain medication, elevation of the injured boy part, and use of compression to support the muscle and reduce swelling.
For minor-to-moderate muscle strains, most people are able to recover fully after three to six weeks. Meeting with a physical therapist may be necessary for more serious muscle tears.
